Current State — FIX7 Codex N-number/N6 Targeted Repair (2026-06-11)

Status: FIX7_CODEX_N_NUMBER_N6_REJECTION_TARGETED_REPAIR_READY

The four FIX7-side defects in Codex CODEX_FIX7_N_NUMBER_OR_N6_REJECTED are engineering-closed and replayed fail-closed on the published KB packets:

  • N6 duplicate fail-opens closed. real_n6_provenance_verifier.py (277daf86922e5246) now rejects duplicate declared corpus members (before set conversion) and duplicate / malformed / non-64-lowercase-hex manifest records (before dict insertion), emitting no certificate. Selftest 14→19, adversarial probes 27→31 (P25–P28 reproduce the exact Codex inputs). The N6 candidate d777e87c… and its certificate acf8d259… are unchanged; real-N6 packet tree 43b4914a356a0cee; fresh-from-KB RERUN_RESULT: PASS.
  • N-number contradiction closed. The active N7 authority envelope (n7-approval-event-input-envelope.md/.json rev3→rev4) no longer labels membership_sha256 as (N1); it is annotated un-numbered membership per the canonical reconciliation table (N1 = per-doc normalized_active_content_sha256[d]). Labels-only; checker conformance 8/8; n_node_checker 15/15.
  • Alignment packet completeness closed. authority_seal_encoder.py (13344f92) and codex_probes.py (112b4ec5) are now published at the alignment packet path byte-exact to their pins; tree 96d00b9e unchanged; fresh RERUN.sh G0–G4 → RERUN_RESULT: PASS.

N6 is an engineering candidate only — NOT Codex-ratified. No N7, N8, P7, official pin, owner approval, implementation, production, PG, Directus, registry-row, system_issues, REAL_RUN, QT001, permit, activation, repoint, or cutover action occurred. T2 v0.2 framework not mutated; Tool-Kiem-Thu v0.2 not promoted; no v0.3 broadening.

Remaining work — authority/owner only: ratify the N-number table (G-DOC-1); supply real N6 chain (SEAL_REAL_N6_NOT_AVAILABLE, G-AUTH-1); supply A1/A2/A3/A5 + N8 signer + P7 ids (G-AUTH-2); resolve OWN-1 (G-OWNER-1).

Next required work: route a fresh independent Codex review of the patched packets + rev4 envelope. The FIX7 engineering blockers are closed; Codex can now focus on ratification/authority inputs.
